Here are some tips and steps to avoid another boring summer and how to make your 2-month and a half vacation productive:
1. Wake up early.

It's a pretty ironic advice but it actually works. Waking up early gives you time to relax yourself and avoid being moody. It also works to make you plan out the day ahead and to give you a moment to pamper yourself or simply, to think about random stuff like what you want to achieve for the day, what you want to wear, etc.
2. Hang out with friends.

Living a loner life in summer is definitely a no-no. Admit it, can you survive a more-than-a-month-long vacation without even seeing your best of friends? Well yeah, you can communicate through Facebook, Twitter, Skype, etc but nothing beats hanging out with them at the mall or anywhere else as long as you're with them. This gives you a peace of mind and also a boost of self-esteem since you are with the people who makes you feel comfortable and carefree.
3. Spend time with your family.

May it be in the beach, another country, family dinner, or simply watching TV together, as long as you are bonded as a family. Being a teenager, I guess we get too attached with our friends that we somehow forget about our parents and siblings. This is not just in our perspective but in our parents' as well. They have some sleepless nights with all the work and things to do in the office. I guess summer's the perfect time to bond with them and maybe build a better and stronger connection since you've somehow lost track of the things you've been doing because of school.
4. Start a blog.

This is somewhat connected to numbers 2 and 3. You can blog about the things you've been doing with your family, friends or just some random topics. Summer's the perfect time to do this (just like me) since you get too active in school and you barely have any time to do some other things.
5. Start a summer business/ "Earn CASH."

Summer is definitely a good time to earn money. Either you try to have a summer job or create a small business, as long as it's safe and you're having fun with it. Malls or food shops usually have summer jobs for kids, so maybe that could be interesting for you. On the other hand, if you don't want to be stuck up in kitchen business, you can start your own enterprise. Consider the internet as your store (such as EBay or Facebook). But take note! Stay safe and don't reveal your personal details too much. Ask mom and dad to give you a head start on money and even some tips on dealing with cash.
6. Try out something you've never done before.

Ever tried ZIP LINING? or let's say "DIVING ADVENTURE"? Well, summer's the perfect time for you to do that. Face your fears by jumping off from a cliff or holding a snake or whatever. This is really the right time for you to have those cool trips or "quests".
7. Discover some hidden talents and learn new abilities.

You never knew you were good at singing until you sang in the bathroom. You'll never be able to discover your hidden talents if you remain in that way: HIDDEN. It's time to break your shell and get out of your comfort zone. Summer camps are famous all around and that's one step in nurturing your gifts. Learn new things such as playing the guitar or the piano or even try gymnastics! Who knows? You could be your school's next representative for the local competitions and become famous for it?
8. Read books.

The DIVERGENT trilogy. The HUNGER GAMES trilogy. THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. These are just some of the books you'd like to read in summer. Browsing new books can expand your vocabulary skills plus it also gives you inspiration to write your own book. (I know it did.) You can also share these new things to your friends and who knows? You can have some reading buddies.
9. Fulfill your bucketlist.

If one of the things in your bucket list includes going on a trip to LONDON, then GO FOR IT. If opportunity knocks, be sure to open it or be tortured with REGRET. Summer is a really great time to fulfill those dream of yours such as having a selfie with the Eiffel Tower or even going to the concert of your favorite band or simply, maybe learning how to do the cartwheel.
10. Sleep early.

Summer's the perfect time for you to grow taller and one way to do that is by sleeping early. You've been stressing yourself throughout the whole school year so reward yourself by having some good night sleep. If you're really conscious about your height, tip number 10 is really good for you.
So that's it, 10 tips and steps for you to avoid a boring summer. You might want to have a journal and write down everything that you've been doing the whole summer and maybe you can draw inspiration from it in your next vacation. Remember, stay safe, have fun, and God bless! :)
